like water, life flows
the only option is to go with it
From the beginning of time when humans started making art, the moon and its relationship with water have been frequent protagonists in several works across cultures. Their relationship is that of symbiosis and beneficial to us, too; without the moon to raise and control the tides, the moon wouldn’t be what it is as it would lose function and in turn, we would’ve never been able to come home from the sea, always unmoored and lost.
Water is also a pillar of art, culture, mythology, spirituality and religion and even scientific invention. Literal careers have been built on its waves and streams and pools; movies and shows and music have been based on its mysterious contents and its powers of life and destruction.
The watery sign of Pisces is perhaps the best representation of its element. Pisces placements are usually also full of hidden depths, lots of artistic and spiritual interests and can easily sink down to (rock) bottom if they let life drag them down. Many consider them great liars -and they can be- but I consider them to be great at imagining the reality they want and ignoring the reality they have through artistic endeavors and escapist tendencies.
The Full Moon in Pisces comes (depending on your timezone, sometime this weekend) to us in a time where several planets are in retrograde: Jupiter (in Aries), Saturn (in Aquarius), Uranus (in Taurus), and Pluto (in Capricorn) as well as the karmic asteroid Chiron also in Aries. This makes it an energetically heavy but important moon, too! At a time where life might be throwing curveballs the size of Sissyphus’ rocks at us, the Pisces Moon comes to tell us that there is only one choice, and that is to sometimes let life lead you where she wants you to go.
As a sometimes very rigid-in-my-routine-and-structures person (can you tell I’m an Earth Sun with an Earth Moon?), “going with a flow” is a strange and terrifying phrase to me. Letting yourself go and trusting in the universe is not easy, especially when you’ve lived through disappointment and trauma. That’s why this Pisces Moon can actually help us if we let it. Especially with the planets slowing down into theur retrogrades (and good ol’ Mercury joining them on the 9th), these days it will feel like you’re trying to walk through water and sand at neck height. Unfortunately, nothing in this universe can be forced without emotional, physical, spiritual and even ecological consequences. So surrender to the water and let it guide you.
So if you allow me, I give you a challenge: face at least one (1) emotion this weekend, no matter what it is. See it, recognize it, then let it go, like you’re letting a little paper boat float downstream. Cry about it maybe, or watch/paint/play/listen to something you like, and then hug a friend, a lover, or a stuffed animal while you put all your responsibilities and worries aside for the moment (yes, in Virgo Season!). Then come back and tell me all about it.
I leave you with my autumn playlist (which I waited very impatiently at least half of August to make) and my best wishes for the weekend.
All my love.
Till next time.

P.S. I have set up a k*-fi because times are rough and my new apartment is already taking a financial and psychological toll on me. If you appreciate my work, donating would mean the world to me. I still appreciate you even if you don’t. Thank you always.
